Simon Grieve

As a rider, Simon has competed regularly at top level in eventing for the past 15 years. He has contested 18 5* events (Burghley, Badminton and Pau) as well as winning just shy of 100 national events too. In addition, he competes internationally in pure showjumping and is a consistent winner at 1.40 level nationally.

A busy BECC level 3 coach, Simon enjoys helping riders of all levels through grassroots right up to Advanced level. He coaches at his base at Field Farm in Leicestershire as well as the renowned Vale View Equestrian a couple of times a month. He also coaches in Cornwall, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Scotland throughout the year.

Simon is also a Television presenter, working for Horse and Country TV. He has presented numerous programmes including the popular Swipe Up Kick On and From Field to Fitness, but is equally at home hosting live events, such as at the Saddle Research Trust Conference. He is also a keen writer, working for numerous publications, including Horse and Hound and Your Horse Magazines.

When he’s not doing the above he’ll more than likely be in the mountains. A keen skier, hiker and climber, Simon completed the National 3 Peaks challenge in 2023 and will be climbing Mont Blanc in 2024.
