Aaron, 36, is based just outside Cirencester where he has a yard of event horses, ranging from four-year-olds through to five star, and a great team of horses, owners, staff and pupils. He is very much looking forward to combining competing at the top of the sport, alongside coaching and developing riders for the future.
At the age of 16 Aaron based himself with Lucy Wiegersma, under the watchful eye of the late Caroline Creighton. Four years with Lucy gave him the foundations and training needed for a future in Eventing; it was from there he rode around his first Advanced, first 4 star and on to the Junior Europeans. Moving on, Aaron set up a small yard in Devon and was lucky enough to compete at Badminton and two Burghleys on one amazing horse.
After many years in Devon, Aaron made the move to Dorset, and then 10 years later moved again to his currrent base, from where he has ridden on the British Nations Cup team, whilst also achieving good 4* results.
Aaron is looking forward to 2024 with some extremely exciting horses, alongside training pupils. He loves seeing their success and helping to develop them as riders in order to make them the very best they can be.
